The heights by great men reached and kept Were not attained by sudden flight, But they, while their companions slept, Were toiling upward in the night

It is never too late…

Monday, January 11, 2010

Truly, life is so short. We are but breezes of wind that blow thru this world. Here one day, gone the next. No one knows how long they will live. You cannot choose how long you will live but you can choose how well you will live.

So many people wasted their short lives in here and spend their finals days waiting down in regret. There’s no more time to go back and re-do their lives. There is nothing left but a wish for more time. A wish that will never be fulfilled.

We all have two choices as we live - we can make a living or we can design a life. There are many who spend their lives making a living.  They go off to work each day with no vision for what their lives could become and before they know it, their lives are over. and some are so fearful that their dreams they do have will forever be unfulfilled coz they never have the courage to take a risk to enable them to reach their goals  and live their dreams.

Prison Break: Rest in Peace Michael Scofield

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

In the last two episodes of Prison Break, Michael managed to save Sara just in time before T-bag could sexually assault her, then they rescued Lincoln by blowing up the area where he was being held. They managed to get help from ex-secret service agent Paul Kellerman and his old friend Sucre in order to bring Scylla to the UN. Everyone got exonerated but T-Bag who was sent back to Fox River, while General Krantz was sent to the electric chair. Michael’s mom was shot to death by Sarah. Michael Scofield died.

Prison break has ended abruptly. The revenge was so brief. If only Prison Break team dedicated one more episode showing how the UN takes actions against all members of “THE COMPANY” the revenge could have been sweeter. It likewise failed to disclose what the Scilla really is. The “Company” has lost Scilla, general Krants and some of it’s men but the prison break team has lost Michael, Brad Bellick, Sarah’s dad, Alex Mahone’s family, James Whistler, and dozens more.

Rest in peace Michael.

Top Ten Distinctions between Millionaires and the Middle Class

Saturday, April 25, 2009

I was listening to the audiobook version of Keith Cameron Smith’s marterpiece until i felt hungry for its transcript. i googled for it and I landed on this site which transcribed the book and noted some important points. If you want to read the entire book, you may purchase one from your local book store or in amazon.

Distinction 10:  Millionaires think long term.  The middle class thinks short term.

Long term thinking enables you to get out of the month to month mindset that many middle class people have.  Doing so allows you to focus on ways to increase your income through goal setting and long term planning.  When thinking long term you ask yourself questions like, “How can I reduce my income tax this year?” or “How can I double my income next year?”

Distinction 9:  Millionaires talk about ideas.  The middle class talks about things and other people.

Wealthy individuals use positive vocabularies.  Whereas the middle class uses words such as “impossible” or “I should”, millionaires say “possible” or “I will.”  Millionaires aren’t whiners.  On the other hand, middle class people can often be heard complaining about their job, boss, bills, money, or debt.

Distinction 8:  Millionaires embrace change.  The middle class is threatened by change.

People with a wealthy mindset identify the opportunity that change brings as opposed to fearing or worrying about it.  Being fearful will prevent you from seeing opportunities that change brings.

How to End Procrastination

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Perseverance is about as important to achievement as gasoline is to driving a car. Sure, there will be times when you feel like you’re spinning your wheels, but you’ll always get out of the rut with genuine perseverance. Without it, you won’t even be able to start your engine.

The opposite of perseverance is procrastination. Perseverance means you never quit. Procrastination usually means you never get started, although the inability to finish something is also a form of procrastination.

Ask people why they procrastinate and you’ll often hear something like this: “I’m a perfectionist. Everything has to be just right before I can get down to work. No distractions, not too much noise, no telephone calls interrupting me, and of course I have to be feeling well physically, too. I can’t work when I have a headache.” The other end of procrastination - being unable to finish - also has a perfectionist explanation: “I’m just never satisfied. I’m my own harshest critic. If all the i’s aren’t dotted and all the t’s aren’t crossed, I just can’t consider that I’m done. That’s just the way I am, and I’ll probably never change.”

Vote BEAT FREAKS as The Next America’s Best Dance Crew!

Tuesday, March 3, 2009

Ahttp://i30.tinypic.com/2i1kt3p.pngfter scouring USA for the top street and studio dance crews, Randy Jackson found 12 of the very best groups to grace the stage. With their dreams on the line, these crews need to impress our panel of judges, including JC Chasez and choreographer Shane Sparks, host Mario Lopez and, yes, American Idol’s Randy Jackson, ’cause after the first dance-off, only the elite eight will stay in the competition. And, in the end, only one team will be crowned America’s Best Dance Crew, winning a crazy cool cash prize and a coveted touring contract.

Week after week, each dance crew, consisting of five to seven members, works their butts off to demonstrate their most innovative choreography and sick dance skills. The crews were asked to recreate the moves seen in the hottest music videos, use their fancy footwork to reenact their favorite movie scenes and pay homage to the classic grooves (and moves) of the past.

Learn from the Ants

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

A great speaker named Jim Rohn often suggests that everybody should study ants and adopt their philosophies. I agree with him. Ants have often been used in fables and children’s stories to represent industriousness and cooperative effort. In the Book of Proverbs in the Bible, ants are held up as a good example for humans for their hard work and cooperation. They have amazing philosophies.

First, ANTS NEVER QUIT.  If they’re headed somewhere and you try to stop them; they’ll look for another way. They’ll climb over, they’ll climb under, they’ll climb around. They keep looking for another way. What a neat philosophy, to never quit looking for a way to get where you’re supposed to go.

CHANGE BEGINS WITH CHOICE

Saturday, January 17, 2009
Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish; we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish; we can starta new activity. Any day we wish; we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year.

We can also do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform. And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable, we can remain as we are. We can hoose rest over labor, entertainment over education, delusion over truth, and doubt over confidence. The choices are ours to make. But while we curse the effect, we continue to nourish the cause. As Shakespeare uniquely observed, “The fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves.” We created our circumstances by our past choices. We have both the ability and the responsibility to make better choices beginning today.

Living a modest, Simple and low-cost life

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

You’ve heard and read the news, no country or territory is exempted, the whole world is facing a great financial crisis. With this being experienced by much fraction of our population, everyone must take necessary measures to alleviate the effect of this financial dilemma. A guy named Rick jeliffe did a year-round experiment in living smaller. He said:

I caught public transport only. I got rid of extra lightbulbs. I baked my own bread. I froze my own dumplings. I didn’t buy any gadget. I didn’t buy any CD. I didn’t get a flatscreen TV. No home phone; no home internet; no cable TV; no new art; no gin. I only took one international trip (which was quite important) and two domestic flights (to my dear parent’s 80th birthdays) but turned down several work opportunities that involved flying, even though it meant less satisfactory participation at SC34 WG1. I let my passport lapse. … This leads to a very placid lifestyle: I don’t think I have ever been less engaged with the rat race, and at the same time, less restless (outside office hours.)
