Quit Drinking Alcohol says Starbucks

I am amenable to the well-settled and established fact that ALCOHOL destroys families, homes, brotherhoods, relationships, friendships etc.  My uncle is an alcoholic. i could not recall when did he start drinking alcohol. He drinks a considerable amount of beer every damn day of his life. i remember when i was still domiciled in the province, he used to summon me to buy for him two big bottles of beer called grande. Although the sari-sari (retail) store was a bit far from our humble abode and i had two fragile and not-so-strong arms to comfortably carry the two grande bottles, i dont complain at all. why? because he always tells me to keep the change or that i could buy any junkfoods of my choice with the change hahaha. I usually needed several stops not only because the bottles were too damn heavy but i was also carrying in my pockets, loads of junkfoods and i had to stop to eat some so that by the time i reach home, only few were left to share with my then little brother haha. okay enough of this kiddie stuff.

even when i came to legal drinking age, i never tasted alcohol or was inclined to try gulping a little. but due to persistent peer pressure, i learned to drink beer from my college friends. my first dose of beer was when we were told of the schedule of our graduation ceremony. Since then, i became a social drinker but i limit my alcohol intake to just three bottles of light or draft beer. when i say social drinker, in my case, mmm,, let’s say twice to thrice a month and never became more frequent. Early this morning i made a promise to a friend. that i’m going to quit drinking beer or to make it more worthy of credence, mmm.. i propose once a month is not a pain in the ass LOL. or perhaps i’ll switch back to my old time favorite low-cost red wine - Carlo Rossi or a coffee with a good friend.

If you think you can drown your problems in a bucketful of alcohol, you’re WRONG, you CAN’T. I found out, they can swim.

If you’re a regular alcohol drinker not necessarily alcoholic and you love your family, friends, relatives, spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, gayfriend, you pet dog, and most especially, yourself, i propose you consider quitting drinking alcohol as well.
