Captain Brad Bellick, in episode 9, Season 4 of Prison Break, sacrificed his life in a water conduit while holding up a pipe so that Scofield and the crew could cross safely. Bellick is the fifth main character to die on Prison Break.
Brad, i know you were an asshole in the first two seasons because you were the main antagonist of Michael Scofield and the escape team, but i started to like you in the third, when you were all dirty running around almost naked in Sona, it was pathetic and i felt so sorry for you. And what you did to Sucre in Sona was just so nice… and what you did for the team was a great sacrifice.. you died like a HERO … you’re such a nobel man, and you did really redeem yourself.
You did the most heroic thing ever done on this show, and you have truly redeemed yourself for being such a jerk in the other seasons. When the brothers finally do take THE COMPANY down, it will be thanks to you.
Let us remember all of our good moments with Brad throughout the seasons…
We are gonna miss you, and im sure the team would miss your nagging!
I am now playing Boston Legal in your honor.
i dont see a good reason why they had to kill his character this soon. if fox river intends to butcher another character soon, it must be theodore a.k.a. T-bag.
Posted by kuyanin at November 6, 2008, 1:55 amAwwwww, that’s sweet dude! I still remember Bellick giving Michael a hard time in Fox River. God, how I hated him back then! And Bellick putting poor Tweener in the cell with Avacado where he raped him. And Bellick finding the hole in the guards room. He was a real thorn in Mike & Linc’s side. Even after they escaped he & Geary hunted them down.
BUT, I started feeling sorry for the big galoop in Sona. He really had a hard time there walking around in his tightie whities and being abused by the other inmates. I’m glad he redeemed himself and became a good guy. At least his mom will know that he died a hero! I’m sad that he’s gone too.
Me too! I think they had Bellick die honorably because the writers knew it would be hard on us fans to lose him. We’ve grown to love Bellick these past 4 years. I think the writers realized how attached we are to the characters when Sara was killed off in Season 3. Now I think they are going to be a little more sensative in how the characters die.
It’s one thing to lose a character early on. We don’t get too attached to them. But after 4 years, it’s hard to lose a character, especially if he’s a good guy. Bellick started out bad, but turned good which makes it alot easier for us to accept his death because he died honorably.
Posted by 2luvmichael at November 6, 2008, 2:04 ami Never thought i would get so attached to a character. My heart goes out to bellick. Sucks that he is gone, but i am glad they let him go out a hero. RIP Brad Bellick!!! (Is there any hope that he could come back next season like Sara?)
Posted by pirate1441 at November 6, 2008, 2:06 amI feel the same way, but I’m a die-hard. It’s possible Bellick isn’t dead at all. Think about it.
Case in point, Sara.
I think he’s dead. I think going out in a blaze of glory- arguably his one true honorable, selfless, heroic moment- is the most Brad Bellick could have hoped for in his life. I have never liked the character- well acted by Wade though- but still I have never liked him- first he was a bully, then he was spineless, then he was a sniviling whiner for the first part of this season. I’ve been hoping to get rid of him since season one and I’m glad they finally have. That said, I’m glad he went down the hero- to me he has found redemption- it was a heart breaking scene and a perfect way for the character to go.
Posted by prison break at November 6, 2008, 2:12 amThat’s so sweet of you, thank you.
i hate you. why did you spoil prison break for me? alam mo namang di city ang city namin eh! grrr ka talaga! hay.
well, now i know. i liked him in season 3. so after grieving for sarah and she’s alive. could they bring bellick back?

Posted by sik-in-the-head at November 14, 2008, 2:04 amack~ i read a spoiler
Thank God i already watched it hehe, hmm… i kinda hated this bellick you know.. after what he done so many bad things in the past (season 1 & 2)…but yeah he died heroic
awww~ i didn’t expect him to die!
he is such a hero.
i feel so sad.
however judging from the reactions of michael n burrows i can tell they have already forgiven him for what he did to them in fox river n season 2.Burrow was screaming for him to get his ass in the hole but he held on to the pipe!
he sacrifice for the entire team!
kudos
I started to watch Prison Break and I reached where Brad was killed and I couldn’t help but cry I miss him as well as I wish Veronica because she is the reason I started to watch Prison Break .I like Michael and his skills but I miss Veronica she and Linc make a sweet couple.I also like Lincoln he is so cute but I will miss Brad and Veronica
when they send bellick’s body home and bring his bag to the car, why do they leave the bag there? weren’t they supposed to send his stuff to his mother?
Posted by pb10 at September 4, 2010, 1:17 pmI really loved bellick. I admired his resourcefulness, able to sniff out bullshit before it happens and always knew where to look. He had the wits and smarts. Real detective. Meant to be more than just a captain in prison.
In fact I like him more than Michael even. Even though he’s a bully at times, but I love him when the tables are turned on him and he gets scared… but manages to pull himself out.. he is the man!
