Prayer Solicitation (pls read in full)

Guys, i am soliciting prayers for my two siblings (Sherwyn and Jewel), and BLOOM who will take the forthcoming nursing licensure exam. Here’s a brief backgrounder: My sister works as a psychologist however, in her aspiration to advance her career, as advised by her mentors, she decided to study nursing. In two years time, she finished the course.

Academic wise, my brother is the smartest in the family. Compared to us, he has a superb IQ. I am always proud of him especially when he was admitted in UP Manila. However, everyone has his own weaknesses – he didn’t make good in Calculus perhaps because he became engrossed with PE101 (archery), JOA201 and CBI101 hehe. Little did he know when I was taking up engineering, my grade in Differential Calculus is only 2.25 and my Integral Calculus is 2.50 haha. These are the two major subjects which expunged my name from the Dean’s List.

My sister wanted to review in a blissful and quiet place away from noise polluted metro manila and, to her mind, that’s exactly what Baguio City offers. She tagged my brother along and there, they enrolled a two-month review course. Everybody in the family, chipped in for their expenses (scholastic or otherwise). During their breaks, they rejuvenate mostly in silence, listening to the sounds of the forest and pine trees.

I pray that history will repeat itself. I say this because Baguio is also the place where my dad chose to do his 4-month review for the Bar exam. During this period, he said he devoted 18hrs a day reviewing photocopied book pages and borrowed review materials as he had no books of his own. He barely had money for food as he was the only one working in the family but because of his forthcoming exam, he had to resign from work. Those were also the times when i and my elder sister were compelled to go to our university accounting department to apply for promissory notes to allow us to take midterm and semi-final exams. Good thing he passed the Bar exam despite the shortcomings.

Sherwyn and Jewel are the two most adored in the family. They are my mom’s pets. Jewel is the apple of my mom’s right eye while the left eye is Sherwyn’s dominion. Perhaps, this is so because these two are “special” children haha. But this situation had moderately changed when grandsons emerged. Aside from my mom’s selective and exceptional treatment, I love all my siblings and parents alike and this adoration is of unfathomable degree. Even to the extent that, to illustrate, i have to scratch earth with my bare hands only to find fallen grains to feed them. Were it not for my immeasurable love for them, i should have harmed myself then vanished when i was dumped by my fiancée.

To the Lord, i pray for His compassion and benevolence. Please make my two siblings and my friends like bloom and others whose names are too long to be mentioned here, succeed in the forthcoming nursing licensure exam.
