Belive it or Not: Stephen King Loves Prison Break

Thursday, November 6, 2008

In an article in Entertainment Weekly where the famous Stephen King is a pop-culture columnist, King said, “when it comes to what I’d walk over my grandmother not to miss, the answer is Prison Break. Simple as that. I love Prison Break madly, deeply, truly.”

He added that, “What makes this so much damned fun are bright exteriors, crisp cutting, outrageous action sequences, and, most of all, the acting ensemble. I especially enjoy William Fichtner as Alex Mahone — Fichtner’s probably the best character actor on TV. These guys play it straight, so the audience does the same. There’s also a crazy existential subtext: No matter what these hapless escapees do or how fast they run, they always end up…booya!…back in prison”

Reason Behind Bellick’s Death

Still i can’t get over Brad Bellick’s death. The video hereunder shows the reason why Prison Break had to kill Brad Bellick’s

character. Matt Olstead, the executive producer of the show said they had to drop one prime cast member in Season 4. Although i subscribe to that, they should have dropped somebody else like the evil T-bag (theodore) or Gretchen or Sarah Tancredi.

To those who dont watch Prison Break, sorry guys. just let these two consecutive entries pass. i’ll write about other stuff that may interest you next time.

Brad Bellick died a hero

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

Captain Brad Bellick, in episode 9, Season 4 of Prison Break, sacrificed his life in a water conduit while holding up a pipe so that Scofield and the crew could cross safely. Bellick is the fifth main character to die on Prison Break.

Brad, i know you were an asshole in the first two seasons because you were the main antagonist of Michael Scofield and the escape team, but i started to like you in the third, when you were all dirty running around almost naked in Sona, it was pathetic and i felt so sorry for you. And what you did to Sucre in Sona was just so nice… and what you did for the team was a great sacrifice.. you died like a HERO … you’re such a nobel man, and you did really redeem yourself.

You did the most heroic thing ever done on this show, and you have truly redeemed yourself for being such a jerk in the other seasons. When the brothers finally do take THE COMPANY down, it will be thanks to you.

Let us remember all of our good moments with Brad throughout the seasons…

We are gonna miss you, and im sure the team would miss your nagging!

I am now playing Boston Legal in your honor. :D

For the first time - an excerpt

People like us have to live by our own rules

But, if you fall in love and let her into your heart,

then you’ll have to live by her rules.

You’ll have to give up control over your life.

Love changes people too much

until there is nothing left of the person you used to be.

what if you don’t like yourself in the first place?

maybe love is good kind of change huh?

what’s not to like?

She will try to change you…

when she should just accept you for who you are.

First it’s the little things….

your peer, your clothes, your friends.

Then she tells you that it’s still not enough.

i tell you, there is no freedom in love.
