Have you seen the movie Four Christmases starred by Vince Vaughn? It’s all about a couple trying to fly away from their family for Christmas, as they do every year. Their fun turns around when all flights have been canceled. Now they have to go to four houses to celebrate Christmas while going through memories they don’t want to go into and suprises they can’t handle while they have to use a safe word to get out of situations. Their respective parents are separated thus the couples have to visit his father, her mother, his mother and her father all in one day. Hence, the title Four Christmases (spoiler, i know haha)
I, too, will have four Christmases. My Christmas break will commence tomorrow.
We have a two-day family affair in Pagudpod beach (Boracay of the north). At first, I was slothful to join them in Pagudpod as it is, according to a friend, at least 10-hour drive from Manila. Good to learn later though that Philippine Airline caters trips from NAIA to Laoag City. Kewl! Pangasinan will be my next itinerary and I will stay there until my birthday. By the way, in case, you don’t know yet, my birthday is on the 25th and im not kidding so you should greet me on my birthday or else, i’ll erase you from my blogroll haha (now im kidding). From Pangasinan, i will proceed to Baguio to meet with some college friends and to personally experience the 10.6 degrees Celsius morning temperature there. Cebu will be my last destination before i go back in Manila. This will be my third time to visit Asia’s pearl of the Orient. It’s a business trip and not for celebrating Christmas there though.
How about you? Where are you gonna spend Christmas at? i bet some of you will travel to foreign country/ies. May we all have a very merry holidays!
grabe ha! you’ll be busy! I like pagudpud…I would love to go there someday! don’t forgate to bring your panlamig clothes when you go to Baguio. malamig ata talaga doon ngayon. imagine, 10.6 degrees! sarap! he! he!
Hope you enjoy your vacation glenn! and lest you don’t have time to check anymore…advanced merry christmas and happy birthday!!!
Update: this morning my friend said, the temp in baguio now is 9.8*C kewl! it reminds me of Baguio City’s mayor who attempted (last year) to purchase a grand “snow maker machine” so that the entire downtown premises will be peppered with snow. This didn’t materialized though because the plan was strongly opposed by the city council.
